JOHNSON’S Shiny Drops Kids 500 ml shampoos are being withdrawn from the market following a decision by the EFSA, which found during an inspection that there were traces of a fragrance not indicated on the product label. In its communication, the Agency states that the batch of ‘0455P’ shampoo in question is recalled and that the company must withdraw it from the market. In particular, traces of a fragrance were found outside the list of ingredients of the product, which would render the terms ‘hypoallergenic’ and ‘tear-free’ unfounded.’ The same notice concludes: ‘Johnson & Johnson Hellas, as the person responsible for marketing the product in Greece, must contact the recipients directly and withdraw the batch in question from the market. Documents of withdrawal must be kept for at least 5 years and brought to the attention of the EFSA if requested.’
